Lacrosse Shoot Out

This is Otter's third year in lacrosse but the first time he has been able to fully participate in the Lacrosse Shootout his club puts on each year.  Despite me imagining a long hot day of tired, grouchy kids, it actually turned out to be quite fun!  The key to being able to actually watch any game while having the younger kids was finding a spot where they could run and I could still see. Mission definitely accomplished this time; they even found some friends to play with and did some hill rolling.

Otter's team had 2 losses, 1 tie, and 1 win at the end of the day.  He enjoyed playing all day and I must say, it's so awesome to see him develop into this guy who knows how to take all the smack talking and let it roll off his back!  Oh yeah, then there is the part where he is falling in love with a sport and learning that practice and hard work is what is going to make him better....but really, he still thinks that better lacrosse stick will make him a pro sooner.....

He lit up when Smoosh, Squeaks, and I finally made it to the games and joined him in the team tent.  He happily smooshed the Smoosh and then got some good luck kisses from Squeakers.

Can you see Smooshie under there?

The best part of the day was the drive home after Culvers.  We all love us some good dancing and singing; some of us are just much more entertaining than others when doing it (sorry for the first shot of my arm; Otter was filming):

If you like it then you should've put a ring on it.........:) You turned a very long LAX day into so much fun! I would've been worn out w/ all that heat! What a nice way to spend fathers' day!
Love you all!
